Who runs this, and on what money

The Founding Circle

Carolina Commons is run by its Founding Circle of seven neighbors. Names are on the Circle page. Circle members are unpaid volunteers.

Our partner: Coherence Lab

The deliberation methodology and the software that powers voting and analysis are developed by Coherence Lab, an independent partner. Carolina Commons retains editorial control over what is asked, what is published, and what is handed to officials.

PENDING SIGN-OFF. The exact wording of the commercial relationship with Coherence Lab — fees, licensing, and any in-kind support — will be published here once approved by the Founding Circle. A human must sign off before this text goes live.

Funding

PENDING SIGN-OFF. A full list of funders and the amount received from each in the current period will be published here. Approved list pending.

Conflicts of interest

Any Circle member with a financial or professional interest in an organization named in a deliberation must disclose it before the session and recuse from the write-up. A log of disclosures is kept and made available on request.
